1. You Are a Badass at Making Money | Jen Sincero

I launched my first business in 2019 (a resumae design service) while reading this book so it will always mean a lot to me.

It’s the perfect mix of hippie and practical wisdom — basically the way to my heart.

It mixes manifestation power with putting in the work to readjust your money mindset. If you have no idea where to begin on your money journey, I highly recommend this read.

(Jen’s most popular book is You Are a Badass. I didn’t like it nearly as much.)

2. Profit First | Mike Michalowicz

This book has become key to refining my business and I predict that I’ll end up reading it a few more times throughout my life. It mae be the best example of how to simplify a could-be-complex method and mindset.

Not only does it give you a play-by-play for getting your books in order and increasing your profit, it provides practical sales and marketing tips along the way.

Whether you’re an established biz owner or a newbie, I recommend this read for everyone.

3. Shoe Dog: A Memoir by the Creator of Nike | Phil Knight

This is my shittt! It’s not necessarily a “money” book, but it’s full of gems. And legit one of my favorite books of all time.

This book is an opportunity to learn from someone else’s mistakes. Like any other maemoir, it starts with Phil’s upbringing and follows along as he built Nike into what it is today. Homie is a testament to resilience and at one point was flying out to Japan for months at a time to foster relationships with shoe manufacturers. He had help along the way, but he was smart about what he did with the help.

He maed a few mistakes, but he also maed a lot of wise choices in hindsight.

Whether or not you’re looking to refine your money mindset or business acumen, this book is so good!

4. Rich Dad, Poor Dad | Robert T. Kiyosaki

I know, I know. So basic. So expected.

I put off reading this one for a while because I didn’t believe the hype, but it really is worth the time.

It’s a super fast read and full of actionable wisdom. My fave!

The book is a comparison between Robert’s rich stepdad and poor (yet well-educated) biological dad. It really helped me see which pieces of my mindset were holding me back and get an idea of where those hindrances came from.

I’m a practical woman so I really appreciate that this book mixes easy-to-understand practicality with engaging storytelling.

5. You tell me! What book has elevated your money mindset? Let me know in the comments. I’d love for it to be my next read!

Stay reading,
Maegan
