I’ve been a digital nomad since 2016 and along the way, I’ve become a pro at packing.
My trick is to pack only what I truly need, but that doesn’t mean that I skimp on the things that I really want.
Especially when it comes to fitness. If that one extra item means I’ll be more motivated to workout, then it’s coming with!
If you’re wanting to stay active during your next vaca while not taking up too much space in your suitcase, check out the list below of all of my travel workout essentials.
- First and foremost, I don’t go anywhere without my Jade Harmony mat. I use these mats for years without needing to replace them and they’re essentials for all my people with clammy hands. At 4 pounds, their flagship mat may be too heavy for you so check out their travel mat instead or even the super thin voyager mat.
- A yoga mat bag. All of the best ones have pockets and adjustable straps.
- A jumprope. I like the light-weight kind.
- Resistance bands are key for strength training without weights.
- A long resistance band.
- A yoga strap for those deep stretches.
- A lacrosse ball as an alternative to foam rolling on the road.
- Honorable mention: I spent two years traveling with this light-weight agility ladder only to never use it.
