📨 Friday Report II.VI — 5.20.22
Subscribe to the Friday Report, a biweekly rundown of pop culture, current events and happy moments as well as my nomad adventures, maepiphanies, business lessons and life hacks.
Mi gente! I’ve missed you!
It’s been over a month since the last Friday Report and I feel like I’ve lived at least 3 different lives since. Here are some maejor highlights:
- I got a wild infection which showed up in my body as the most painful tonsilitis I’ve ever experienced and I got to visit not 1 but 2 Maexican emergency rooms. Yay! I’m much better now, thank you so much to everyone who checked on me.
- I’ve onboarded 2 new 1-on-1 coaching clients and offboarded one. I love coaching women so much, it doesn’t even feel like work honestly. I’m opening up 3 slots in June and I think that will be it for the year since my focus will transition to group programs. Holla at me if one of those 3 slots is for you.
- On that note, I’ve maed great momentum working with Jenn, my spiritual business coach, and the other ladies in the group (coaches need coaches too). I’m so excited that the lofty goals I’ve set for 2022 feel so attainable. #alignment
- Oh — and I turned 33! This year I planned to host my first in-person Mae Day in Miami with a group of friends, but I was so miserably sick I had to cancel. I was mucho sad about it but I got to spend 3 nights sola in a tiny house in the jungle — my happy place.
The biggest highlight of the past month has been clearing out what isn’t for me to make space for all that I ask for. If you’ve been subscribed for a while, you already know I’ve gone through a lot of shit this past year all while building a new business and living my nomadic dreams. Parasites taking over my body, wild sinus infections, family dramz, releasing expired friendships and mindsets — it’s been a lot.
I’m grateful always though that no matter the experience, I’m always gonna pull some good from it. To clarify, I’m not grateful for the struggle though. Moving and working from a place of struggle is mother fucking dead.
I’ve worked so hard to get to where I am and honestly, I’m not working hard for anything else. Does that sound like a weak mindset? Good. I’m weak in these streets. If it ain’t easy, it ain’t for me.
Per usual I’m not entirely sure what’s next for me, but I am sure that it’s gonna be fire and I’m gonna take all thrown my way with grace.
A few weeks ago my therapist asked me what or who am I most excited for in the future and I told her the unknown. She replied, “Wow! Isn’t that the definition of stability? To know that whatever comes your way, you trust yourself to make it great?”
And I was like “WOORRDD! You right!”
I’m great at many things, but because of my lifestyle, my upbringing and societal pressures, I’ve always felt unstable. Her response was a much appreciated shift at how I’ll interpret my sense of stability moving forward.
Alright. You already know I can go on for days.
Before you start dreaming of the unknown magical people and experiences coming your way…

🛍️ Buy of the Week
I’ve got such a beautiful sun kissed glow right now and my skin is getting so much healthier. Last year was a rough time for my vanity. I committed to cleaning up my body and my bod detoxed itself through my face.
I’ve been using Tree of Life products for a few years now and I LOVE them. Here’s 10% off.
Fun fact: they keep their products affordable by not spending money on marketing and instead the brand relies on word of mouth.
Check out previous Buys of the Week.
📝 Lesson of the Week
When someone tells you how they feel about you, listen. Secondly, listen to actions before you listen to words.
I’ve released or adjusted a lot of friendships these past 2 years and I’ve been able to do so by observing the role that I play in people’s lives. Do we prioritize each other equally? Do they make me feel like an afterthought? Do I not pour into them as much as they pour into me?
I’m a great friend to have and one of the reasons is because I routinely reevaluate my relationships. The older I get, the more intentional I am about my circle and the energy around me.

🥳 Community Celebrations
Make some noise, we got a new section! To know me is to know that I’m greatest cheerleader to ever do it. I fucking love celebrating others and their successes — make no mistake though, I celebrate myself first. 💁🏾♀️
If there’s anything you want to celebrate, slide in my DMs and let know if you’re okay with me sharing here.
Before you do, note that successful celebrations are built on positive energetic exchanges. I’m not here to celebrate you if you can’t celebrate yourself.
I’m off to demolish some veggies, get a bit more work done and per usual, smoke a joint as a reward. This is my last weekend in Maexico and I’m sooo ready for what’s to come! Life just feels so exciting right now in the most peaceful way.
I feel so loved, I feel so driven and I guess above all, I feel safe. Safe within myself. Safe with the people in my life. Safe in my environment.
Safety can feel really uncomfortable at first, especially when you’re not used it. I’m so proud of myself for putting in the work to be here because lemme tell you — IT’S BEEN WORKKK.
Until next time…
Stay safe,
Maegan
