📨 Friday Report LI — 12.24.21

Quote of the Week

“Mae you find rest in the unknown.”

-This post.

Happy holidaes!

Whether it’s Christmas Eve for you or just another Friday like it is for me, I hope you’re well-rested and prioritizing yourself.

I’m somewhere on a cloud super appreciative of the reality that I’ve created for myself and excited for what’s to come.

The wild part is truthfully, I have no idea what’s to come, but I know it will be fire.

My favorite lesson learned from digital nomad life is to let go of planning. There were times I’d be in a hostel in Morocco with no idea where I’d be the following Tuesday. And in many ways that hasn’t changed. I know I’m going to Maexico and then coming back to Colombia. Do I know when I’m coming back to Colombia? Not really, but why do I need to know?

For an over-thinker like moi, letting go of trying to plan it all was the greatest thing to ever happen to me because the Universe always delivers something greater than what I could have planned for myself.

So for 2022, I’m welcoming more of the unknown and continuing to work intuitively. Create offers that just feel right, collaborate with humans who just feel right, rest in places that just feel right…

This year, I heavily let my feelings lead me and let me tell you — IT WAS HARD. Like, really hard. I’m a logical ass human with a heavily masculine rationale. I didn’t even know how to feel feelings just a few years ago.

But I get it now. If I’m aware of my feelings, it means that I can better move toward all that feels good and fuck the rest.

One thing that has felt SO good this year has been creating consults and I’m going to miss them so much because they allow me to vibe with people one-on-one. There are no words for how rewarding it is to see humans so relaxed and ready to make shit happen by the end of the call.

It’s definitely lowkey pulling me toward a career in behavioral psychology. We’ll see.

Either way for now, I’m done working with one-on-one offers and aside from launching a few things in January, I plan on taking it easy as much as possible.

And so here’s a heads-up that while the Friday Report will continue in 2022 (because why not?!), there won’t be a Friday Report for all of January. I’ll miss you tho and I’m already looking forward to catching up with you in the New Year.

I hope you too are being strategic about what you allow on your calendar. You create your reality and you decide what you’re committed too. Make sure it’s worth it.

Before you officially decide not to go to that family event that you didn’t even wanna go to in the first place…

Let’s dive in!

What’s up with me?

  • I tried watching Queens and despite the cast (Eve on a TV show again? I swoon.), I couldn’t do it. I cannot with musical-like TV shows, movies, none of it.
  • On that note, I accidentally watched the entire second season of Emily in Paris on Wednesday night and I’ve already started rewatching just for this. It was clear that they acted on a lot of feedback. Did you notice that they included way more French this time and they def got a larger wardrobe budget? As much as I enjoyed it, I did not enjoy musical theatre and hearing Mindy sing every episode. I wish her the best, but I don’t care to be taken along for the entire ride.
  • Maedellin really highlights my love of tech efficiency; my entire life here is tech-based and I very rarely use cash. The dream. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Track of the Week

Track of the Week thoooo? It just came out and I think I’m going to include it on my top songs of 2021 list. Burna Boy and WizKid dropped B. D’OR and idk how it’s possible to sit still while it’s on. 💃🏾 Listen on…

Next week I’ll write the final Friday Report of the year (BRAZY!) from Maexico, where the report started. How cute?

Things are crazy right now, just in case you forgot. 🙃 Here are some friendly reminders:

  • Eat your veggies.
  • Move your body.
  • Put your phone down.
  • Don’t talk to anyone all day if you don’t want to.
  • Take breaks.
  • Lead with a smile.

People love you how you love yourself. I hope you’re setting a stellar standard.

Stay selfish,
