​Speaking to my soul! I’m 1000% sure that this has been the most impactful year of my life because I became ruthlessly selfish. And it pays off everyday.​

How’s your life, how you feeling?

I was supposed to be in Veracruz right now, but I decided Wednesday to stay in Playa. After being out in the streets last week like my life depended on it, I really wanted to get caught up on work and live in my creative bag.

I beasted this week and planned on keeping up with that trend today, but it’s actually physically impossible for me to work on Fridays.

Seriously I can get shit done any day of the week, but Friday? Impossible. The astrology-averse would dispute this, but I think it’s because it’s Venus day and Taurus is ruled by Venus.

Either way, I’m slightly buzzed in bed while writing this so I have absolutely no complaints.

Fully finishing tasks and projects is something I’m working on. I often leave things mostly finished and then move on the next shiny object, but that doesn’t allow me a clear mind so my focus for the weekend is wrapping shit up so I can enjoy the last 2 months of the year without anything hanging over my head.

And so I can move in 2 weeks with a clean slate. I’m sooo excited to be somewhere new. I miss city life so much and although my year+ in Maexico has been so good to me, I never saw myself staying here longterm.

The culture doesn’t light me up or inspire me, ya know? And that’s okay.

Of all the things I’ll remember about living here is the growth. This has been the most transformative year of my life and I’ll always be thankful to Maexico being the backdrop for that growth.

But it’s time for the next chapter. And I’m so excited to take you with me.

• ​Tiger King is coming back for a season 2! Don’t act like you’re not excited. (Remember when season 1 came out and we thought we were in a quick quarantine? LOL! Wtf is life really?)
• It’s my dream to build an empire and reward my team like this. My actual dream.
• Sidenote if you don’t know the backstory of Sara Blakely, the founder of Spanx, she’s such a badass.
• The Lightyear teaser trailer was muy boring, but I’m still excited. And per usual, the Twitter commentary maed everything better.
• As I’m sure you’ve heard, Facebook changed their name to Meta. This isn’t about their dumbass name change though, it’s about my love of Twitter. 🤣
• ​“You can’t think your way to success.” Thank you, Felly, for putting me on to the Mindset Mentor. Def one of my favorite and most educational podcasts now.
• ​Planet Money is my fave TikTok account, no competition.
• When was the first time you realized how wealthy rich people are?​

What’s up with me?

• I locked my hair and I love it! Next level new chapter behavior.
• I’ve been getting my body feet wet with dating again and it’s been an…interesting adventure. Men are a wild species and although I wish that I could be gay I love them nonetheless. My biggest challenge is not getting annoyed when I’m annoyed, you know? A past me would love that different men are trying to make plans with me, but current me is concerned as to why they have so much free time. Like, do you not spend any time at home alone?! 🚩
• With that, I find it SO annoying when people are like “wow you’re always so busy” or “you sleep so much” because I say I’m unavailable to chill with them. Busy often means Maegan and I are spending quality time together and it truly pains me when others don’t seem to enjoy their own company.​

And that’s a wrap! Now that I’ve completed my 2 absolute must-do’s of the day, you already know I’m about to celebrate with a spliff before maybe hitting the streets.

Did I mention that I started House of Cards from the beginning? I’ve been so enthralled like I haven’t already seen it before. Whether you watched the series the first time around or not, I highly recommend it.
