Money isn’t the motivation, it’s the reward. 🏆

2022 is the year of the Self Maed entrepreneur. Subscribe to the Self Maed Money Report for a behind-the-scenes look into my business progress, new ventures, success stories and lessons learned.

This is lesson 11 of 11 after 1 year in business.

Impact over income. This became my motto early in the Life Maed Easy game.

When I started diving into interactive workshops and seeing how they were making lives easier, a fire was lit within me. In the past year I’ve maed hundreds of lives easier through workshops, 1:1 + group coaching programs, digital bootcamps, countless consultations, Instagram stories, newsletters and more.

The impact is a constant reminder that making your life easier is both my purpose and my passion. And the income that follows is a much-deserved energetic reward for my efforts.

Here are 3 ways that creating a positive impact resulted in income:

  1. During the summer of 2020 I pushed out a lot of content about different ways to use Passion Planners. A few months later, they opened up applications for their first round of ambassadors and I had a bunch of IG content to show that I’d already been advocating on their behalf. In 2021 I was brought on again as an ambassador and I’m currently one of the top sellers. 😎
  2. In 2020 I hosted a Passion Planner-themed digital workshop called Track Your Way to Success. I wanted to share my tips for monitoring my behavior and how I use my planner to be more self aware. I paid my rent off of that one workshop and that was the official start of Life Maed Easy. 🙌🏾
  3. Curriculum development is the love of my life. I facilitated my first group coaching course last year and hosted everything in Notion. Notion is super customizable so it allowed me to make the layout as easy-to-use as possible for the participants. Another educator saw how I set everything up and hired me to organize one of her courses in Notion. 🤓

To be clear, I’m about my money. Money can’t buy me happiness, but it can buy me a lot of other nice things and I unapologetically like nice things.

I don’t do free offers unless there’s something for me to gain from them; I set calendar reminders to increase my rates; and getting paid to talk about products that I love is my jammm.

You can be about the people and about your prosperity at the same time.

Stay about it,
Maegan
